About PassNav
What is PassNav?
PassNav hires out a TomTom sat-nav, pre-loaded with practice routes for your driving test centre, so you can practise following sat-nav directions before your test. The device is posted to you, and you send it back with a pre-paid return when you're done. PassNav is a brand operated by Smart AI Solutions. We are not affiliated with DVSA or TomTom.
Who runs it?
PassNav is a brand operated by Smart AI Solutions. The full trader details, including our service address, are on our Legal & Contact Information page. We prepare the routes for your centre before we post the device, and check them with driving professionals local to that test centre where needed.
How does a hire work?
- Choose your test centre and a 2-, 4- or 8-week hire. You pay online by card through Stripe, plus a £50 refundable deposit.
- We post the device with tracked delivery. Your hire starts the day after it arrives.
- When you've finished, reply to your booking email. We send you a pre-paid return QR code, and you drop the box at any Post Office.
- Your £50 deposit is refunded within 5 working days of the device passing inspection.

Is PassNav legit? How to check who we are
- Who you're dealing with: PassNav is a brand operated by Smart AI Solutions. The trader name and service address are on the Legal & Contact Information page.
- Payments: card payments go through Stripe. Your statement shows SMART AI SOLUTIONS.
- Data protection: we are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (our Privacy Notice has the reference).
- Written terms: our Hire Terms, Privacy Notice and Deposit Policy are public. You have 14 days from the day you book to cancel: a full refund before we post the device, and a proportionate charge after that (see Hire Terms §4).
